Spring is just upon us and it's time to get our running
houses (or shoes more likely) in order. This column is all
about promoting our great clubs; the backbone of our sport;
and strengthening the ties in our greater running community.
No matter where you live in the Evergreen State, there's a
running club nearby. So, if you're not a club member yet,
consider joining one of the clubs spotlighted below. Heck,
join two or three. You'll get two to three times the benefits
and friends. I've gone through considerable effort to offer
you this updated "data base" of Washington Clubs, and where I
could, included a comment from the President or someone on
what their club has to offer. If I've missed one, contact me
here at the Northwest Runner so that I can spread the
word next issue. In the meanwhile--why don't you contact one of
the clubs below. I'll see ya around this year at those club
runs and races.

overcome a lot of obstacles not only in running, but in

think it applies to a lot of folks in our club, "Pain is
temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a
year, but eventually it will subside and something else will
take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever"
