"Running Mom's" clothing line moving along Sally Bergesen, featured last year in a Northwest Runner article about her bold move in launching Oiselle, a women's- only running clothing line, had a big month of October.

First she broke three hours at the Portland Marathon, not a bad feat for a 39-year-old full time mother of two and full time small businesspersen. Next, she opened an online store and re- launched Oiselle's website: http://www.oisellerunning.com

Sally also announced a new grass-roots sponsorship, which can serve as a model for other running-related companies, large and small. Oiselle is sponsoring the Seattle Prep high school girls' cross-country team at Nike Team Nationals regional meet in Boise, Idaho (11/10). Since the girls cannot wear their school uniforms at meets of this type, they'll be sporting Oiselle singlets.
