Help Wanted: Help Northwest Runner at Local Running Events

Have fun, meet people, and help spread the word about local events - be a part of the excitement at running races!

OPPORTUNITY: Set up and maintain the Northwest Runner booth at races

BACKGROUND: Northwest Runner has a booth at the finish line-"Expo" area at 40-50 races per year in the Western Washington area, usually within one a one-hour drive from our office in NE Seattle.

DUTIES: Arrive at time agreed up on with the Race Director, set up booth and put out sample copies and entry forms in plastic stands, erect tent, hang up banners. Replenish sample magazines as needed, be at the booth to answer questions and discuss Northwest Runner. Take down at time agreed upon with Race Director. No sales are involved.

REQUIREMENTS: Provide own transportation to events with enough space to accommodate table, tent magazine and stands; set and take down booth

TIME NEEDED: Varies by race, usually the hours needed to be at the race is around 7 am until noon.

COMPENSATION: $50 per usual race described above, plus .40 per mile. Longer events and those involving more travel will be compensated accordingly.

NOTE: At some events it may be possible to both run the race and man the booth. This must be negotiated in advance.
